Position & Proximity Sensors
HARCO's position & proximity sensor addresses the weight reduction and reliability improvement objectives of major airframe manufacturers through the use of solid-state components and fiber optics. Our design provides a universal functionality, reducing the number of unique sensor part numbers utilized throughout the aircraft.
The fiber optics utilize an industry standard wavelenth of 1300nm and SM-9/125 uM non polarization dependent fiber. The miniaturized sensing head is 20mm in length and 5.5 mm in diameter. The assembly has a wide dynamic range of 6dB and an operating temperature range of -40C (-40F) to +85C (+185F).
